Sweet dreams are made of this…
Great collection of “could-a, would-a, should-a” events.

Experts Agree: Baseball’s Next Dynasty
Really appreciate your blog, Lou. You’re right on 8 out of the 10 (down from yuor usual 98%). Today’s Republicans are, beyond all doubt, a shower of no-good @#*£’s…and quite certainly have no respect for this Country or its better political traditions – BUT the filibuster is an important and safeguarding resort in our legislative processes if used sparingly and in good faith (not as it was used by the anti-Civil Rights crowd, the vanguard for today’s Republicans). Wouldn’t want to lose it just because bad Americans have abused it.
Your other mistake is Secretary Clinton. She’s a little too much of an authoritarian. Projects a GWB-like “my way or the highway” approach. Sarcastic and self-absorbed, too. Maybe she should be talking to Newt and Mitt.

A really nice New Years list.
I would add #11 – NRLB Board Fully Staffed By Labor Picks…
I like 7 of them. I am indifferent about #3. I dislike #4 and $7. The former will not happen. Trust me. No more of this voting for the lesser of two “evils.” The latter we have heard before and it never happens. What has she been waiting for? “Progressive Democrat” has become an oxymoron. Most of today’s Democrats are more like Percy Republicans. The two-party duopoly must be ended one way or another.
Here are the headlines that I would like to see:
1. CEOs of Chase, B of A, Citi, and Wells Fargo convicted of fraud, perjury, and more and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole in a maximum security facility “for their own protection.”
2. Geitner, Summers, Paulson and whoever else was involved on the government side convicted of fraud, perjury, and more and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole in a maximum security facility “for their own protection.”
3. With OWS support, Green Party takes 20 seats in Senate and 125 in House.
What about Obama wins re-election ???
