Can the Cops Take Your Cell Phone?

Addicted to cells and tablets, Americans are submitting to data-mining corporations revving up for their internet takeover and law enforcement agencies eager for evidence.

Just this week, as the FCC looks to retreat on net neutrality, the Supreme Court hears why cops should be able to seize your cell phone when you’re stopped in your car for any and all violations.

In the meantime, the proposed Comcast / Time-Warner merger continues to trigger industry consolidations.

These trends are more chilling than NSA Surveillance.

Even if regulators and courts curtail media giants, spy agencies and local police departments, intrusive and coercive institutions will be swarming around us.  Creeping under our skin; getting into our heads.  It’s enough to make you paranoid.

But I don’t have time to think about that now.  I have to catch the latest House of Cards episode on my iPhone.
